Kolya lives with his young wife Lilia and their son Roma in a seaside town in northern Russia. He has an old wooden house at the harbour, which he inherited from his father. Vadim Sheleviat, the town mayor, won a court case against Kolya and is about to evict him. Dimitri, an old army friend who now is a lawyer Moscow, comes to the rescue. The battle for survival against  the corrupt structure of power begins. The film was awarded for the Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
