“Czechówka + Wieniawa”

10 April 2013 – 17 April 2013

Tu Obok Foundation and the Landscape Architecture Association (Stowarzyszenie Architektury Krajobrazu) invite for the post-competition exhibition of conceptual projects of developing the valley of the Czechówka River. Exhibition will be on display in the Labirynt Gallery from April 10, 2013.

17 April 2013 – after the presentation of prize-winning works – consultations with inhabitants will be conducted and a discussion will be held, moderated by an expert in public consultations, PhD Tomasz Jeleński from the Cracow University of Technology.

“Czechówka + Wieniawa” is the title given to an exhibition and a working name for consultations, workshops and finally a competition that has been realised by Tu Obok Foundation for several months now within the social project of developing the Czechówka valley in the Wieniawa district in Lublin.

Submitted projects illustrating the best ideas for the revival of the Czechówka valley will be displayed at the exhibition. The jury selected 3 works that propose the best and the most interesting ways of solving the problems of the area. Together we now intend to choose the idea to be realised that will be approved by the inhabitants. Consultations have a concrete, pragmatic dimension as first resources for the arrangement of elements of small architecture and recreational facilities are already available. The Council of the Wieniawa District provided the money to this aim from the purpose reserve for the year 2013.

Exhibition will be displayed on the fence of the Labirynt Gallery (works from the second stage of the competition) and inside the Gallery (all submitted works).

Vernissage of the exhibition – 10 April 2013 (Wednesday), 5 p.m.

Discussion – 17 April 2013 (Wednesday), 5 p.m.

More information about the consultations and their hitherto results as well as all submitted works are available at the project’s webpage: http://parki.lublin.pl/czechowka+wieniawa/.
