Façade in Labirynt – Activities for the Youth

What is the difference between sculpture, object and installation? What role can scale manipulation play in art? We would like to invite the youth to a free workshop on contemporary art!
21/07/2020 (Tuesday)
4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
Façade in Labirynt – Activities for the Youth on Zoom
The workshop is aimed at people aged 16-19. During the online meeting, our inspiration are going to be works of the Polish artist, Monika Sosnowska, above all, the over 7-meter sculpture “Façade” which can be seen at Galeria Labirynt until the end of the year. During the classes, we are going to present examples of works of other artists from all around the world who create large-scale works of art. Participants are going to learn about monumental site-specific installations on the border between sculpture, object and architecture, and are also going to try to find out “what the artists meant”. The event is implemented as part of the promotion of a series of classes on contemporary art “PS Poznaj Sztukę! Learn Art!”.
The workshops are free of charge. Please note that registration is compulsory and is open until 17/07/2020 (Friday). You can register via email at galeria@labirynt.com (please provide your full name and age; in the subject of the email please type date and name of the workshop as well as information about the need to provide a PJM sign language interpreter). We are going to reply with information about how to join the classes and a link to the meeting.
The meeting can be interpreted into Polish Sign Language (PJM) – let us know via email at galeria@labirynt.com if you need an interpreter at least 3 days before the workshop.
