It is 1992, the Abkhazian-Georgian war is on. One of the river islands is inhabited by a hardy old Georgian farmer Abga and his teenage grand-daughter Asida, who try to grow corn there. They are surrounded by patrols of the armies of both sides. One day the girl finds a young Georgian soldier hiding on the island. The place’s idyll is about to end.
