The Hideout

exhibition opening: April 25th, 2015 (Saturday), 12 a.m.
on until June 7th, 2015 (Tue-Sun, 12.00 a.m. – 7 p.m., admission free)

With the youngest viewers of art in mind the artists executed paintings, objects, installations and sound projects. The exhibition’s title refers to one of the most popular children’s games – hiding themselves and various objects. It can also be understood as an escape from reality, yearning for a lost childhood, which was itself the most tremendous hideout. The exhibition refers to the time of childhood, carefree fun, a state of unawareness of threats. A hideout is a secret place, hidden, in which we feel safe. The exhibition invites the viewer to play and interact with the work of art. Based on the natural curiosity and openness of the youngest recipients, it shows that every encounter with an art piece also reveals something about ourselves.

The artist participating in the project are: Monika Drożyńska, Marcin Dymiter, Magdalena Franczak, Bartosz Kokosiński, Patrycja Mastej, Florentyna Nastaj, Maciej Połynko, Kamil Stańczak

Curators: Anna Szary, Agata Sztorc
