LGBT Film Festival

We’d like to invite all of you to the 10th edition of the LGBT Film Festival.

It’s worth noticing that LGBT Film Festival became the biggest celebration of LGBT cinema in Central and Eastern Europe, presenting diverse and interesting titles. The LGBT cinema changed a lot during the last 10 years, reflecting the dynamic status of the current world. Let’s take you on a journey where you can observe this ever-changing reality from the movie theater seat.

Lately there are less and less films depicting non-heteronormative people as victims of cruel reality, deserving pity and compassion. Festivals’ screenings often show us affirmations of diverse life and human relations, which instead of showing us pain and suffering, stay outside the normative social or sexual frames. However, International cinema working as the most tender radar, still highlights places and situations that need to be changed for the better. This is the complex social and emotional reality we would like to present to you during this event, here in Poland. To achieve this we chose the exceptional films from such festivals as Cannes, Berlinale or Venice. It’s also worth mentioning that many film genres will be present at the festival. Beside feature films, we are going to present to you gay and lesbian shorts, which have a growing market significance. If you haven’t given them a chance yet, it’s high time to do it.
