Natalia Kaliś – Power relations in a masochistic performance

Masochism is a common motif but simultaneously the least acceptable by the audience in performance art. The lecture is an attempt to examine the relation between the performer and the audience during a masochistic show and consider the influence of such a performance on both the artist-performer and the audience.

Natalia Kaliś, PhD – historian and art critic, lecturer at the Collegium Civitas in Warsaw. Kaliś deals with the history of performance and a performative dimension of fine arts.
