Guided tour of the “Facing the Wall” exhibition

The tour is to be translated into Polish sign language.
free entrance

The exhibition presents pieces by the Ukrainian artists Mykola Ridnyi, who lives and works in Kharkiv. In 2008, he graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts. In his pieces Ridnyi uses various media – from the early group activities in public space to site-specific installations, sculptures, short films and essays which currently constitute the main field of his activity. In his reflections on the social and political reality he draws inspiration from the observation of contrasts between fragility and endurance which emerge from stories told by particular people and collective history alike. These two levels tend to interpenetrate each other in his art projects. At the exhibition at Galeria Labirynt visitors have an opportunity to see the videos, photos and drawing executed by the artist in the period between 2011 and 2017.
