PERFORMANCE ART MEETING are meetings of performance artists which Galeria Labirynt has been organising since 2012. In this year’s edition we are pleased to welcome Nigel Rolfe, internationally acclaimed artist, active in the field of performance art since the 1970’s, and students from his studio at the Royal College of Art in London. The events include  activities of the young performers executed in the space of the Lublin Old Town and Nigel Rolfe’s individual performance, which is going to take place in Galeria Labirynt.

Nigel Rolfe was born in the Isle of Wight in 1950.  He is currently living and working in Dublin (Ireland). For the first three decades of his artistic work he was taking part in numerous festivals of performance art. In the 80’s and 90’s he has collaborated with the famous international group Black Market International, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. He also participated in European Performance Art Festival in Lublin (2004) and in Warsaw (2006) and in Performance Platform Lublin 2009.
