1st Polish Convention of Consortium for Post-Artistic Practices

Galeria Labirynt, 5 Popiełuszki Street
Free admission

We have a pleasure to invite everyone to the Congress of Consortium for Post-Artistic Practices. Consortium is an informal and interdisciplinary alliance of art people who use their imagination and artistic skills outside the art field. They engage in anti-fascist coalitions, fight for the rights of women, women artists and women workers, react to uncontrolled tree clearances or refugee crises. An informal patron of the Consortium is Jerzy Ludwiński, who wrote in 1971: ‘It is very likely that today we are no longer dealing with art. We have simply missed the moment when it transformed into something completely different, something we can no longer label. However, it is certain that what we do today has more capacity and possibilities.’

The Consortium’s mission is to motivate, exchange ideas, distribute information and, above all, to open the “channels” for the art and other spheres of social life to interact.

1st Convention of the Consortium is conceived as an open form. Its programme has a framework character, it is a platform for horizontal exchange, filled with statements and ideas of the participants. Its purpose is to present the activities that have already taken place in the Consortium circles and to create work groups to work on further ideas. All participants are invited to participate in the Convention – not just the Consortium’s current activists. In case of any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at postsztuka@gmail.com.

    Games, heated debates, workshops.
  1. How can I actively participate in Convention?
That depends on the day and the form of activity.

Saturday: if you feel like it, you can prepare a seven-minute presentation – a plan for the future or an already executed project in the field of post-art activities and/or join the workshop. Microphones, overhead projectors, boards, etc. are available.

Sunday: if you know Lublin, you can propose an excursion plan; in other case you can join some already existing drifts.
