River space is the most open, natural form in the urban landscape, with no rigid boundaries. This freedom of interaction and openness to change allows us to complement the existing or create our own contexts and forms in a ‘foreign place’. Similar to utopian architecture of Oskar Hansen, the river becomes a background for situations and meanings on the boundaries of the subjective and the objective, but unlike modernist utopia, it remains a space of uncertain nature.

The place for the action was the Bystrzyca river in Lublin, from its symbolical spring – the centre of Lublin to the ‘lips’ – Zalew Zemborzycki.
