Growing Art [translated into PJM] – family workshops inspired by Land Art

26/09/2020 at 1:00 p.m.

[Workshop in Polish translated into the Polish sign language]

We would like to invite children aged 6-12 to participate in family workshops! This time we are going to meet on the grass in front of Galeria Labirynt, by the “Baobab” tree (ul. Ks. J. Popiełuszki 5).

Workshops can be translated into the Polish sign language (PJM) – let us know via e-mail at edu@labirynt.com if you need an interpreter at least 3 days before the workshops.

What is the difference between this moment and the next? Is it possible to stop for a moment? How do Zygmunt Rytka and other artists catch the differences in time and place in works of art? During the next workshops on contemporary art, our inspiration are going to be artistic works that exist only for a moment and disappear. Together we are going to see how much changes by the difference between light and shadow and place. Seeing the world of nature, we are going to try to creatively stop time in order to create a common, great work.

In case of rain, classes are going to be held in the education room. For safety reasons we limited the number of people participating in the event. Each child can take part in the workshop with one parent/caretaker. We would also like to remind that face and mouth coverings must be worn throughout the whole event. We regularly disinfect surfaces in the gallery and provide hand sanitiser.

Registration via email at edu@labirynt.com till 23/09/2020 (please provide full name and age of the child; in the subject of the email please type date and name of the workshop; please provide information about the need to provide a sign language interpreter) or via registration form.

The necessary materials are provided by Galeria Labirynt.

Workshops last about 60 minutes.

Participation fee is PLN 4/child; parents/caretakers of children participating in classes as well as persons with disabilities are entitled to free tickets.

Leading: Anna Śmierzchalska, educator of Galeria Labirynt
PJM interpreter: Ewelina Lachowska
