VideoNews – a Nationwide review of Young video art

→  5 p.m.

VideoNews is a nationwide review of video works by students of Polish art academies. The co-curators of this year’s second edition are university teachers, who are reknown artists: Mirosław Bałka, Hubert Czerepok, Jakub Jasiukiewicz, Grzegorz Klaman, Józef Robakowski, Arthur Tajber. They are going to select the most interesting works of students from their universities, which are going to be presented during the review.

The aim of the project is to present video art by young, budding artists and enable them to confront their own research in the area of art with their peers from other universities.

The festival will hold six sessions featuring works by students from each of the invited schools. They are: Academies of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Warsaw and Cracow, Poznań University of Arts, Academy of Art in Szczecin and Łódź Film School. The screenings will be accompanied by discussions led by film critic Jakub Majmurek.
