Western States College Transfer Agreement

If you know what conclusion you want, look at our program-to-program agreements. From accounting to welding, we work with a multitude of four-year colleges to get you on your way to a bachelor`s degree! The project began in silence more than three years ago. A group of college-provosts first came up with the idea of creating transfer paths based on the skills of students. Wue (pronounced “woo-wee”) is the Western Undergraduate Exchange and is coordinated by WICHE. The WUE is a regional agreement on reciprocity of studies, which allows students from wiche countries to enrol in some 145 public institutions of two and four years participating in 150% of the resident education of the registration institution. WuE is the largest program of its kind in the nation and has been in service since 1987! WUE is not a short-term exchange – it should be used for full measurement. Since total non-resident tuition fees can exceed 300% of resident rates, the WUE increases affordable higher education offerings for students and minimizes the negative effects of student credit debt. “We just need to streamline the transfer process for students. And we must do so in a way that ensures the quality and integrity of the diplomas we ultimately offer,” said David Longanecker, president of WICHE, in a written statement.

“The passport does this by guaranteeing both the value of the credits received and the skills developed by the students.” WuE, or the Western Undergraduate Exchange, is a program in which people in Western states (with the exception of Arizona) can enroll in certain ASU education programs at a rate of 150% of basic education. There are more than 100 ASU DSS degrees from which you can choose from the ASU Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic and West campuses. Several experts involved in the work believe that the transfer approach has the potential for much broader acceptance. This result is also supported by a description of the different ways in which a student can prove his or her ability to transfer. For example, it can successfully use “synthetic division, factoring, graphing and other related techniques to find all zeroes (real) of an appropriate cubic/quarten polynome.” Starting in the summer of 2015, current UWS DC graduates and UWS DC graduates will be able to apply for the NUHS ND program. Credits for courses taught at the UWS are transferred directly to the NHS and are valid to meet ND requirements. The agreement provides that the DC and ND programs will be completed within eight years of the first registration of the program. The main impetus of the passport is the creation of a more efficient transfer process. Many transfer students – especially those who move from community schools to four-year institutions – spend time and money winning back courses after the transfer.

Students from the following states are eligible to participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange program at ASU: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Although trending, university programs based on skills are not new. Similarly, the concept of “block” transmission is not a disadvantage. As part of their transfer articulation agreements, universities have long set up groups of courses – control boxes for general education. Explore transfer agreements by source or destination. Choose and follow you to save lessons, fees and time until you graduate. That depends. If you switch from a major authorized by the WUE to a major who is excluded from the WUE rate at that particular university, the university or university may charge them for non-resident full-fledged education for the C WUE`s ineligible major. The passport is supported by detailed information describing the agreed competency criteria at the transfer level for the results. This can be more difficult than going together two similar courses in different colleges.
