Bio
He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź (1964–1970) and at the University of Łódź, majoring in philosophy (1967–1972). He was a lecturer and a professor at the University of Łódź, where he was in charge of the Department of Aesthetics until 1999. From 1999, he headed the Department of History of Art. He was also a professor at the Władysław Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (he headed the Department of Theory and History of Art and ran the Studio of Basics of Composition). Painter, draftsman, creator of artistic installations, sometimes also performances; author of texts on aesthetics and history of art.
