Accessibility: Guided tour led in English. The event takes place on the ground floor. The gallery has 6 portable induction loops. During the event audio guides are going to be used. Important! Please use your own headphones with a mini jack.

“Accessible Collection” is an exhibition summarising the project carried out since May 2021. As part of this project, activities were undertaken in order to prepare adaptations to selected works from the collection of Galeria Labirynt. Prepared materials allow to appreciate freely and independently the exhibition by any person, regardless of age or level of ability. Thirty works from the collection of Galeria Labirynt in Lublin have been prepared to be accessible for people with disabilities.  The exhibition presents nine of them – photographs, sculptures, objects, as well as paintings made by Polish and foreign artists. The presented works from the collection of Galeria Labirynt have been enhanced with adaptations that allow you to get acquainted with them, among others, by means of touch, audio description or translation into the Polish sign language (PJM).

In the exhibition “Live Acting”, female artists use tools of art to raise the issue of extremely personal topics, which in the public act of reception gain universal meaning. In these activities, an important role is played not only by people with their symbolic gestures and performative acts, but also by “rituals of things”, objects treated as active elements, which posse causative power. Taken together, the works by Grzeszykowska, Kubiak, and Rajkowska resonate on different levels; psychological, social and cultural, they reflect on the identity and experiences of an individual as well as the functions of contemporary art in self-awareness and community processes.

Resistance to the authoritarian state is discussed in the exhibition “It’s Going to Be Fine, We Just Need to Change Everything”, presenting photos by Chris Niedenthal from 1981–1983 and photos from the Archives of Public Protests, an open platform for the distribution of images related to socio-political tensions in Poland since 2016 until today.
