He was born in 1938 in Aksamanice near Przemyśl; he died in 2000 in Warsaw.
Over the period 1958–1964, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He got his diploma in the studio of Stanisław Szczepański. He practiced easel painting (figural compositions, landscapes), graphics and drawing. He also designed the scenery in the student theatre.
