Bio
He studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, in the studio of Ignacy Pieńkowski, Karol Frycz and Jan Hopliński. In 1945, he joined the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP). In 1946, he started working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Until 1990, he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
