Bio
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the years 1979–1984 where he obtained a diploma in painting. In his artistic work, he combines the genres of painting, music and movement, describing his activities as “painted performance”. In the 1980s, associated with the so-called painting of the new expression (painting of the wild). In 1983 he participated in one of the first exhibition of Gruppa’s paintings (“Pokaz. Las, góra, a nad górą chmura, a nad chmurą dziura” – Show. Forest, mountain, and above the mountain, and a hole above the cloud) organised at the BWA Gallery in Lublin. His first individual exhibition took place at the Dziekanka Studio in Warsaw in 1984.
