Activities on Freedom

Sensory workshops for children aged 3–6

The participants and their guardians are transported into a world of sensory stimulation, full of aromatic and colourful masses made from food products and other materials affecting senses. We practice playing with tinctures and fragrances, overcome the laws of gravity and create our own paints. Please note that you can get quite dirty during these workshops. Each meeting is devoted to a different, unconventional artistic method. The starting point for creative activities are the exhibitions currently presented at Galeria Labirynt.

Saturday in Labirynt

Workshops for children aged 6-9

These workshops are our proposal for creative leisure activities. Some parents think that contemporary art is too difficult to show to their children. Our meetings prove that it is not the case, and that the time spent in the art gallery inspires both children and parents. The formula of the classes is based on children’s natural ability to think creatively. Specially selected tasks stimulate their imagination. During the workshops, the participants enter the intraordinary world of contemporary art and explore the secrets of an artist’s craft. The workshops take place on selected Sundays at 12 a.m. Details concerning individual meetings can be found in the section Events / For children.

Participation is payable.

It Is Not Art to Learn Art

Workshops for children aged 9–12

This new series of workshops consists of a guided tour of the current exhibition and a creative part. It will allow the participants to explore various artistic trends, concepts and techniques used by contemporary artists. The activities will make children and their guardians aware that art can be close to us and to our everyday life and that the visual forms used by artists are a kind of language that everyone can learn and understand. The artistic part, inspired by the presented works of art, will make it possible for the participants to systematise the acquired knowledge and will encourage young viewers to further explore the world of art.

Participation is payable.
