“Open Gallery” | project under the Erasmus+ programme Project
01-12-2023 - 31-5-2025
Details
The “Open Gallery” Project No. 2023-1-PL01-KA122-ADU, implemented by Galeria Labirynt under the Erasmus+ programme, focuses on enhancing staff competences in adult education, fostering the inclusion of groups at risk of exclusion, and strengthening international cooperation. Through mobility opportunities, Galeria staff will be able to explore best practices of European institutions that excel in innovative approaches to art accessibility, creating multisensory solutions for people with disabilities and developing programmes that integrate migrants, older adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other marginalised groups. The project prioritises the internationalisation of the institution by adapting globally recognised methods that address diverse social needs.
The mobility programme will involve educational staff, specialists in accessibility, and individuals engaged in activities promoting cultural inclusivity, including employees working in adult education and collaborating with older adults and migrants. Thanks to international training and study visits, Galeria staff will have the opportunity to learn new tools and adopt practices that support the development of an institution that is open and welcoming to everyone, regardless of their social or health circumstances.
The project aims to achieve the following objectives:
Enhancing staff qualifications in working with diverse social groups;
Exchanging experiences and comparing educational and accessibility programmes on an international level;
Enriching Galeria’s activities with innovative accessibility tools to improve the quality of educational programmes;
Developing participants’ linguistic and cultural competences;
Internationalising Galeria by establishing partnerships and building a network of contacts across Europe.
As part of the project, the following activities will be implemented:
Participation in courses and workshops on non-formal education and accessibility in art institutions;
Observational visits to explore methodologies for working with adults and marginalised groups;
Meetings with experts from international institutions to facilitate knowledge exchange and professional development;
Practical activities aimed at improving language skills and intercultural competences;
Networking with professionals who work daily on social inclusion.
“Open Gallery” is an initiative that will enable Galeria Labirynt to expand its educational and accessibility offer, contributing to the development of a cultural institution that is open to everyone, particularly those with fewer opportunities to access art and culture.
