Accessibility of Galeria Labirynt 2

Galeria Labirynt 2 is located in the Old Town’s tenement in Grodzka Street (ul. Grodzka 3) which is covered with cobblestone. The entrance to the gallery is at the gate on the left side of the building.

Galeria Labirynt 2 is open only when exhibitions are held in there. Then it is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The majority of events held in the gallery are free. However, some events organised by the gallery’s partners should be paid for. In this case, people with disabilities can buy discount tickets and their personal assistants have free entry.

People with hearing disabilities can ask for a tour in the Polish Sign Language. All exhibition openings are interpreted into the Polish Sign Language.
People with visual impairments can ask for a tour with audio description and tactile materials. These tours must be previously arranged via e-mail (agata.sztorc@labirynt.com).

Galeria Labirynt 2 is located in the Old Town where cars cannot enter after noon. The closest parking space for people with disabilities is situated in Łokietka square (Plac Łokietka).

Galeria can also be accessed using the services of the Public Transport Authority. According to the operator, there are low-floor buses and trolleybuses passing close to the building in Królewska Street on the following bus stops: Brama Krakowska 02 (lines 4, 39, 904), Brama Krakowska 04 (lines 1, 6, 17, 23, 156, 160, 950), Brama Krakowska 01 (lines 1, 4, 6, 17, 39), Brama Krakowska 03 (lines 5, 22, 52).

The entrance to the gallery is not suitable for wheelchair users because there is a 25 cm high stair right before the door.

The entrance door is only 85 cm wide and has a threshold. It opens with a metal handle to the right and inwards. Opening the door requires considerable effort. The door is usually open in summer.

There is no toilet or ticket office in Galeria Labirynt 2.

The gallery is located on the ground floor, but there are additional exhibition rooms on the basement floor which can be entered by very steep narrow staircase.

The way that leads to those lower rooms is very small: its maximum height is 160 cm and the stairs are 75 cm wide.
