Registration for the workshop is open until 11.10 until places are still available. Registration is online – via the linked form.
Admission: free
Workshop lead by: Maciej Pałka, artist, cartoonist, comic book creator.
The project is primarily aimed at people with experience of migration – the youth (16+) and adults.

During the workshops on 13/10/2023 (at 4:00–7:00 p.m.) and 14/10/2023 (at 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.), participants will give visual form to their experiences and emotions. The next stage will be to paint a mural on the gallery’s exterior wall on 25–28/10/2023 (times to be agreed with workshop participants), which will become a vehicle for personal content.
The whole project will be supervised by Maciej Pałka, an artist, draftsman, comic book creator, trained by the world-renowned Artolution collective. The group has been active for over a decade, creating, together with local communities, artistic interventions in places affected by refugee crises, such as: Azraq Jordan camp, Bidi Bidi in Uganda – the largest refugee camp in Africa, or in Bangladesh, where the persecuted Rohindja minority resides.
Behind the artistic endeavor in Lublin, as behind those conducted in other parts of the world, lies the conviction that through art one can create a better world, one built on ideas of community, creativity and empowerment.
The public presentation of the mural will take place on October 29 at 4:00 p.m.
