31-3-2023 - 31-3-2023
“UFOPxRN” is a powerful one person show with Tommy Wiseau-like artistic flair. ArTiSt has prepared everything herself from start to finish. Expect over-the-top set design, glitzy costumes, out-of-this-world make-up and, above all, stomach-turning poetry.
When: 31/03/2023 (Friday), 6 p.m.
Where: Azyl Library (former Galeria Labirynt | Plaza), ul. Lipowa 13, Lublin (entrance from ul. Ofiar Katynia, next to CityFit)
Accessibility: The exhibition is held on the ground floor in a space free from architectural barriers. The text of the performance will be available in three language versions: Polish, Ukrainian and English.
What happens when we combine drag and poetry slam? Opal Ćwikła will answer this question, taking you on an intergalactic trip to a land of drag and words. There will be glitter, glamour and absolute excess. There will also be sadness and tears.
During the performance, Opal Ćwikła invites you to read your own work together. Those who do not feel comfortable with public speaking but still want to share their text are encouraged to send it electronically before the event. The artist will read all texts submitted so that each text has the opportunity to resonate.
The performance encourages a collective experience within one’s own abilities and comfort zone. People attending the event decide their level of involvement – you can watch the show and leave immediately, you can stay for the collective reading but not say a word, you can send Opal a text and not acknowledge it, or you can come in full costume and get all the attention.
Texts can be sent until 24.03 to: email@example.com.
